Parish History

Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament parish is a Roman Catholic parish in the Diocese of Harrisburg, located in south central Pennsylvania. Dedicated in 1906 as St. Mary’s, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, we have been a spiritual presence and community resource in Harrisburg since the early 20th Century. From our origins as a mission of the Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick for West Harrisburg in 1906 to our school and church expansion at Fifth, Maclay, and Atlas Sts., to the current church at Third and Woodbine Sts., our parish has continued to serve its parishioners and community in many forms over the years. Delve into our parish history and learn more about our building’s historic architecture on our Parish History and Church Architecture pages.
