OLBS Food Pantry

Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament’s food pantry gives clients enough food for about 3 days per person in the household.

Hours of Operation

10AM-1PM every Tuesday

Clients must limit visits to the pantry to once a month. The entrance to the pantry is on the Woodbine Street side of the church. Each client must have a form of picture ID for every adult in the household, a form of ID with birthdate for each child, and one piece of current dated mail to verify address for each visit.

Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick

Saturday Morning Breakfast Program – Breakfast is served every Saturday morning to those in need. Volunteers report to Bishop Rhoades Hall from 6 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Duties include cooking, cleaning and serving. Lubiann Reichert, staff, ext 223, coordinator.

Sunday Evening Dinner Program – Dinner is served every Sunday evening to those in need. Volunteers report to Bishop Rhoades Hall from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sundays. Duties include cooking, cleaning and serving. Lubiann Reichert, coordinator.

Downtown Daily Bread

Downtown Daily Bread (DDB) is a soup kitchen located in the Boyd Building of The Pine Street Presbyterian Church in downtown Harrisburg. It provides hot, nutritious meals for the needy and the homeless of the city. The meals are served daily between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Bethesda Mission

Everyone is welcome at the Mission for a hot meal 365 days a year at 611 Reily Street (directions). Dinner is served for the public at 4:30 pm nightly. Guests staying long-term at our shelters are served 3 meals a day.

Salvation Army

Free Breakfast Program

Each day, from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m., men, women and children are able to simply walk off the street and begin their day with a hot, nutritionally balanced breakfast. No income or identification requirement is necessary, although attendees are asked to sign in and provide basic demographic information. The Salvation Army Harrisburg is the only agency in Harrisburg that serves a daily, hot breakfast Monday through Friday.
